Standards Based Learning Opportunity

You are invited to learn more about Standards Based Learning on March 23 at Prairie High School. A great opportunity to have a conversation with national expert Dr. Thomas Guskey.  Currently grades K-9 and several high school departments are reporting student progress based on standards.  By the fall of 2017, College Community Schools will be a K-12 Standards Based Reporting System.  Click on the flyer below for more information.

STEM Festival CR Public Library

Enjoy a STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) Festival on Tuesday, February 23 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Cedar Rapids Public Library.  Hands-on fun for pre-K to students in 12th grade.  Over 45 exhibitors and a key note speaker talking about his solo flight around the world. Satellite Voting Today at Prairie – 1-28-16

Today, January 28, 2016, all district eligible voters will have their second opportunity to express their opinion on the upcoming bond referendum. Linn County election officials will be conducting a satellite voting station in room B110 (Family Consumer Science Room next to the gym) at Prairie High School from 2:30-8:30 PM.

Bond Issue Informational Meetings

College Community announces three bond issue informational meetings.  Two on January 13 and one on January 20. Superintendent John Speer will present details of the upcoming bond referendum and answer any questions you may have regarding the February 2, 2016 vote. College Community is pleased to partner with the Parent Education Consortium in providing a series of free workshops called “Parenting Young Children” (Birth-5 Years Old).
